lone parent holidays...
This week long holiday is available to families who have experienced loss through death or divorce and have attended Growing Through's support groups for children, adolescents or adults. This holiday provides a wonderful opportunity for family bonding and creating lasting memories.
Situated in a beautiful rural setting, the week provides a fully catered holiday in a safe environment. The holiday also provides some 'alone' time for parents or carers to recharge their batteries in a relaxed atmosphere while their children are being looked after by a caring staff. In addition to excellent on-site facilities, optional family day trips are organised, so families don't even need their own transportation to get around.
Dependent on funding, Growing Through will endeavour to subsidise a percentage of the cost of this holiday, and to provide coach transport to and from the venue.
Even if they could afford a holiday, many lone parents would find taking the children away on their own too daunting and would fear coming home more frazzled than when they left. Consequently, many city children never get the chance to explore the beautiful English countryside, or visit sites of historical interest.

A fantastic week if you are parenting on your own. Not only do you get a break with others who know how busy life can be, but in addition your
children spend time each day with wonderful staff who want to give them great memories.
